Duluth International Airport is generally a single hop away from most locations thanks to its proximity
to both Minneapolis and Chicago. Delta provides regular connections through Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP),
with United providing connections via Chicago O'Hare (ORD). Alternatively, you could elect to fly
into Minneapolis/St. Paul and drive through the fall colors up to Duluth. The drive is 2 1/2 hours through some
gorgeous fall scenery.
For the event itself, there is no need for a car. All venues will be just off Superior St. in
Duluth and easily walkable. Tourist attractions such as Lake Superior and Canal Park are both
within walking distance. If you have the endurance, a bike trail goes up from Duluth along
the full North Shore of Lake Superior.
What to See and Do
The full week in Duluth is designed to separately highlight short-form episodic content,
independent television, and film. Minnesota WebFest represents the short-form episodic component
and hopefully you are here to see some great web series and interact with other content creators
and influencers in the industry.
But if you'd like to get out and about the North Shore, here are some things to do:
Take a bike ride up the North Shore
Lake Superior Harbor Cruise
Visit the Split Rock Lighthouse
Camp out at a place like Gooseberry Falls
If you spend a day or two in the Twin Cities, there is also:
The Mall of America, the largest mall in the United States
Nickelodeon Universe, an amusement park inside the Mall of America
The Walker Art Center
Minneapolis Sculpture Garden with the big ass spoon (next to Walker Art Center)
Strolling the Lakes (Lake Calhoun and Lake Harriet)
And the legendary First Avenue
Minnesota United FC at Allianz Field
The Minnesota Twins at Target Field
The Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium
